    PeopleCaddie is looking for temporary/contract Sales & Use Tax Accountants to assist our clients in the Chicagoland area.

    The Sales and Use Tax Accountant responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    • Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights

    • Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients

    • Learning and researching current market trends, to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor

    • Developing clear, intelligent plans and strategies to improve our clients’ tax activities

    • Researching our clients business operations and building long-lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs

    • Identify and implement process improvements overall.

    • Manage compliance and documentation for clients.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.

    • CPA

    • 5+ years Sales and Use tax experience required.

    • Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships.

    • Motivated self-starter with attention to detail.

    • Effective writing, communication and tax research skills.

    • Professional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts and tools

    • A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization

    • Technical writing and research experience in a tax context

    • The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
