    Large Company(Fortune 200) is seeking a Scrum Master for a 6-month+project

    Job Description

    The Scrum Master will ensure agile best practices and values are followed by their assigned team in Comcast’s e-Business group as it designs and builds cutting-edge public-facing websites built for desktop and mobile devices that have content managed in Sitecore (using ASP.NET) and are integrated with multiple back-end systems. They will recognize and remove impediments, protect the team from external distractions and keep the team on-track to ensure delivery against stated goals. The Scrum Master will focus on achieving the best performance from the team while coaching its members to be accountable their commitments.

    Qualified candidates with have experience serving as the Scrum Master on teams that closely follow agile practices to build large scale, public-facing web applications with cutting-edge user interfaces. They will possess an expert understanding of how Scrum and other agile frameworks work to deliver business value and how various practices can and should evolve. They must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to address issues with team dynamics, excel at coaching team members around agile concepts and be a leader that will motivate the team to do its best work.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Plan and facilitate all standard ceremonies and activities including: sprint planning, release planning, daily Scrum, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives

    • Regularly analyze key metrics impacting the velocity / performance of the team and produce and share status reports that highlight any issues / blockers

    • Engages with any needed business entity to help remove obstacles to his or her teams being able to deliver on stated goals and influences working agreements

    • Engages and assists the product owner to ensure that user stories are properly articulated, prioritized and detailed

    • Works to identify blocked or stalled stories and influences the team to resolve the issues

    • Participate in Scrum-of-Scrums

    • Provide training to new team members regarding the Scrum framework as well as the use of Rally; identify additional training needs of team and individual members

    • Ensures that Scrum framework is utilized in a manner consistent with the corporate framework

    • Dedicated to continuous process improvement through feedback loops, coaching, retrospectives, and individual improvement

    Required Skills / Experience:

    * Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

    * Certified Scrum Master

    *5+years exp

    *Rally, Version 1, or other exp
