    Pay: $35-$45 per hour

    Duration: 6+months

    A $200mm private equity owned company is seeking a System Analyst for a 6+month project located in Vernon Hills. 

    Position Summary:

    The person in this role will analyze and design techniques to solve business problems/challenges using information technology. Drive change to business improvements through technology. Responsible for the analysis, design, programming/build, maintenance, and support of several computer applications. Determines information systems requirements and prepares specification and user documentation. Provides on-call support, works with users to resolve problems with existing systems, and aids users during implementation of new systems. Candidate should possess analytical skills, and have experience working on applications using SQL databases, in a Windows server environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interfaces with user departments to determine their needs and translates needs into action plans
    • Communicates technical business requirements to internal and external customers in order to enhance current applications.
    • Reviews and writes detailed systems specifications and instructions to meet needs of the business.
    • Assists with configuration, development, and testing of multiple integration systems including web system, software development etc.
    • Provides support to 3rd party applications/software such as Visual Account Mate, Calibration Software, Precision, Warehouse Management System etc. on regular basis.
    • Performs integration project work with Warehouse Management System, Product Information System, Web System etc.
    • Follows strong IT Methodology process (when applicable) such as requirement gather, software development & design, writing detailed system specifications, program unit testing, coordinate and assist user training, system & performance testing, deployment and post production support etc.
    • Understand job streams, production schedules and user requirements.
    • Prepare program logic and writes program using languages compatible with our computer systems.
    • Provides project management support for various application installations and upgrades and other projects as needed.
    • Must be able to communicate project status & issues to management on a timely basis.
    • Creates ad-hoc reports to assist users in their duties.
    • Prepares necessary documentation for each programming request as required by.
    • Utilize standard ticket tracking tools for all system issues to provide visibility to problems & resolution.
    • Must be able to multi-task on various IT requests, and business priorities at the same time.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business related field from an accredited higher learning institution
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience working on applications running on Windows servers, including programming and design.
    • Languages: SQL, T-SQL, FoxPro, Access.
    • Experience in ERP, experience working with applications running on Windows OS.
    • Strong knowledge of query and SQL databases, applications running with SQL database/Windows operating systems.
    • Experience in performing analysis and knowledge of system life cycle.
    • Desire and ability to learn, and adapt to new tools as we move to new technologies.
    • Basic knowledge of MS Office tools.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills to plan projects from beginning to end, work within tight deadlines, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to arrive at creative solutions, anticipate problems, and use logic and a methodical process of problem-solving which includes considering a variety of solutions.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be willing to travel on occasion.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other time essential constraints.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization.
    • Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
