    Duration: 6+months

    A Fortune 500 company is seeking a Transportation Analyst for a 6+month project to be based in Racine, WI

    Transportation Analyst


    The Analyst is responsible for planning shipments in the transport management system and generate exception reports for multiple modes. The Analyst is expected to be a self-starter and accountable for meeting timelines. 

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

    Plan shipments in Transportation Management System and handle contingencies in delivery of shipments 

    Validate and ensure part-packaging data (PFEP) is accurate. 

    Run standard reports to measure transit times and follow up with service providers in case of exceptions. 

    Ensure supplier and carrier Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are evaluated every day/week and corrective actions implemented. 

    Communicating with import-related vendors and plants as necessary to ensure prompt communication of delays and feedback to queries 


    Communications via email and/or phone to respective parties to acquire correct and accurate data to input into comany systems/applications 

    Support continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to drive cost savings, process and service level improvements. 

    Ability to multitask operational tasks and project management to meet both short term & long term objectives 

    Requirements: 

    The qualified candidate will have: 

    Bachelor's degree 

    3 or more years of logistics or planning experience 

    The ideal candidate will have: 

    Experience in Domestic Transportation (Van/Expedite/Flatbed loads) 

    Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and SharePoint. 

    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
