  • Job Description:

    Billing Coordinator

    Functions:

    • Electronic and Manual rebilling of all outstanding claims, underpaid, never paid
    • Reconciling payments & reporting ( Learning Provider Pay)
    • Third Party Billing experience Be able to use HBS, Docutrack, Pharmacy +, Chem Link and other prescription tracking software and programs
    • Scanning remittance statements (Provider Pay)
    • Filing all documentation and billing back up paperwork
    • Knowledge of Hospice rebilling
    • Calling Insurance or Home to verify information
    • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare part D and understanding Low Income Subsidy for dual eligible (Medicaid and Medicare).
    • Performs other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Learning Experience

                  Required: Minimum of High School Diploma,

                  Desired: Experience in all aspects of pharmacy billing operations

     

    Work Experience

    Required: 1-2 years insurance billing knowledge; strong communication skills

    Desired: 2+ years insurance billing (Medicare Part D/Medicaid)

     

    Skills/Knowledge

    Required:

    Desired: Excel, Word

     

    Physical Requirements

       Standing Sitting Walking Lifting
