    Our client is a Large Public Accounting Firm looking for several Tax Paraprofessionals in the great Philadelphia area.  There is a strong desire for the resources to convert to full-time employees after the contract period.

    Indirect Paraprofessional - Property and Sales Taxes

    As a State and Local Tax (SALT) Paraprofessional, you will play a key role in supporting a team of SALT professionals and assist with project management.  The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer with strong communication, organization and analytical abilities.  You should be an independent, solution-oriented performer who is skilled and experienced in a supporting function.

     

    • Assist with preparation of property and sales tax returns.
    • Data entry and import asset records, notices and tax bills to our property tax software.
    • Return/Tax bill mailing – Prepare certificates of mailing, labels and envelopes.
    • Prepare bank account funding requests for review by account managers.
    • Bank account review and notify administrator when funding is received.
    • Daily mail collection and filing of notices, bills and renditions/returns in file folders.
    • Enter and maintain property tax issue log and notice tracker.
    • Resolution of tax authority notices.
    • Enter, manage and execute client engagements and tasks in our work flow system.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of client personnel and client service personnel.  Understand and anticipate client service needs.
    • Notary certification is a plus but not required.
    • Other assigned duties, as necessary.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelors’ degree preferred.
    • Experienced skill level with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
    • Treats sensitive or confidential information with appropriate discretion.
    • Ability to take initiative, be self-directed and results-oriented.
    • Ability to work additional hours if needed.
    • Moderate level accounting or financial knowledge preferred.
