Job Title: Performance Test Engineer

Duration: 10 months (extension likely)

Pay Rate: $55 - $65/hr. W2 ($65 - $75/hr. 1099)

A Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with SAP domain knowledge for a longterm contract assignment. The ideal candidate should have expertise in performance test engineering, including design, analysis, and reporting utilizing LoadRunner.

Job Responsibilities for Performance Test Engineer

Establishes and maintains usage guidelines, standards and best practices, to ensure tool use is efficient, effective and adheres to organizational compliance and security practices.

Identifies and troubleshoots issues, collaborating with testers and Micro Focus support as needed to resolve.

Manages, configures and improves Micro Focus ALM and LoadRunner implementations which support testing across the enterprise.

Manages and supports entire Micro Focus ecosystem including environments, server and client-side components and database.

Supports maintenance and upgrades, planning through testing and implementation for the entire tool ecosystem.

Develops and executes complex performance test strategies and plans across multiple departments, technologies, platforms.

Translates complex system requirements and specifications into test requirements to ensure adequate test coverage.

Minimum Qualifications for Performance Test Engineer

6+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, in performance testing using Load Runner, including test management using Micro Focus ALM tools.

Experience in developing and coding performance tests for SAP and web applications (example: SAP, Web, Fiori, Hybris etc.) and integrate with automated test systems using Micro Focus Load Runner.

Strong experience in performance testing -

Analysis of response time and scalability requirements.

Planning and execution of performance tests prior to production release.

Development of test scenarios, test data, scripts, and exit criteria.

Analysis of test results to expose potential performance issues.

Performance profiling of key application components

Root cause analysis of poorly performing applications - Determining performance bottlenecks

Micro Focus ALM & Performance Center: Experience managing full ecosystem: client & server-side, database, migration, upgrades, and operational support for major business unit or enterprise.

Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and how to adapt them to the specific needs of the organization and releases.

Ability to facilitate and drive interactive Quality focused activities – test strategy, test design, triage, test sessions.

Knowledge and experience in several areas of SAP modules and business process.

Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and functional.

Working knowledge in tools like Worksoft Certify 11.0, Powershell and C# is a plus.
