Job Description:
Pay: $35-$45 per hour (1.5x for overtime)
Duration: 6+months (extension likely)
Location: Remote - supporting the Houston-based team
A Fortune 500 (NYSE) company is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant for 6+month, remote, engagement supporting a team located in Houston, TX. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Month-end close, post and review Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Variance Analysis
- Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures & controls and provide support on special requests.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Provide input on continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Requirements:
- 5+years exp
- Prior Senior Accountant with month-end close and month-end close process improvement exp
- CPA (preferred)
- JDEdwards, SAP, or Oracle ERP exp
