    Procurement & Supplier Capacity Manager

    Duration: 1 Year

    Rate: $30 - $36/hr

    Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Eastern (start and stop time may vary depending on daily support needed ie: meetings, issues, etc.)


    Our client is a Fortune 500 Manufacturer in New Holland, PA and they’re seeking a Procurement & Supplier Capacity Manager.

    The Procurement & Supplier Capacity Manager will act as a Purchasing representative within the plant to fully support commodity strategies and sourcing decisions, plan and facilitate timely execution of Sourcing and Resourcing plans, and ensure plant supply needs are satisfied.


    The Procurement & Supplier Capacity Manager will have a working knowledge of manufacturing MRP systems and processes as well as strong leadership and communication skills. This position requires the ability to act quickly and decisively in making tough calls within a multifunctional team and proactively identifying problems and mitigating risks.


    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate sourcing and resourcing plans with manufacturing groups and drive implementation in order to help achieve the Purchasing Department's financial targets, in both Direct and Indirect materials.
    • Support the achievement of the material cost budget/official company forecasts.
    • Support manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier quality groups with identifying all supplier-related potential risks to monthly OK to Ship targets.
    • Develop successful mitigation plans to overcome risks within supply base performance.
    • Proactively identify any supplier whose key metrics on delivery performance indicates a deterioration in performance.
    • Engage with other internal resources and the supply base to address the deterioration of supply performance by implementing a successful recovery plan.
    • Perform supplier capacity analysis to identify potential supply base risks for future manufacturing scenarios.

    Requirements;

    • Degree in Business or related field and a minimum of 6 years related work experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
