    Pay: $47-$57/hour

    Contract Duration: 5 Months+

    A $2B publicly traded company located near Joliet, IL is looking for a Sr Financial Analyst to join their growing team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
    • 5-8 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communications with demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • SAP and cost management experience.
    • Ability to research, collect and analyze financial data, then representing the results in an organized fashion; requires extensive use of computers particularly spreadsheets and SAP with knowledge of advanced spreadsheet concepts.
    • Ability to develop and implement continual improvements to systems and processes through self-motivation; identifying waste loops and correcting through standardization.

    The responsibilities for this role are as follows:

    Expense Forecasting, Budgeting, Reporting

    • Work with plant management to prepare the monthly site expense forecast.
    • Assist with the annual budget and monthly financial reporting for the site.
    • Ensure processes are in place to accurately forecast and budget site costs.
    • Review manufacturing variances for potential standard cost updates.

    Financial Analysis

    • Educate and train site management on their expenses and variances.
    • Work to provide data in a meaningful format to drive the plant’s success.

    Accounting and Related Controls

    • Help ensure all necessary accounting for transactions at the plant are conducted timely and accurately, as well as supported in accordance with required control procedures. This includes accounting close procedures; account reconciliations; expense accruals and account reclassifications; monthly expenses analysis; plant production variances; review site gross profit statement; adhere to required Sarbanes Oxley Controls.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Ad-hoc analysis and reports
    • Prepare and submit required governmental surveys
    • Work with other members of the Accounting Team for coverage on inventory related controls
    • Limited travel to support other plant sites and projects
