    Our high-growth Chicagoland Mortgage Servicing client is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their Origination Group. Candidates should be local to Chicagoland and be comfortable working onsite and remote.

    DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

    Pay: $40-45/hour (80-90K annually)

    Start Date: ASAP

    Location: Oak Brook, IL

    As the Senior Accountant in the Loan Originations Group you will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to build out the accounting and finance functions, processes, systems across the various businesses supported. You will be responsible for journal entries, assisting with month end, quarter and year end closing.  You will be able to do reconciliations as needed and due periodic analysis of accounts.  

    Responsibilities:

    • Calculate, prepare and post general journal entries

    • Assist with month-end close

    • Perform analysis of account activity

    • Process check requests and setup wires

    • Timely and accurate reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in mortgage banking industry preferred - specifically Loan Origination

    • Experience in working corporate accounting

    • Experience with account reconciliations; journal entries and check requests

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    • 3-5 years experience in accounting and/or finance function

    • Attention to detail and accuracy

    • Experience with the MS Suite of products

    • Proficient with Excel
