    DevOps Engineer (Azure)

    Our client is a Marketing tech startup that recently wrapped up the architecture on their 4th Gen platform, allowing entrepreneurs to scale their business to enterprise levels. They are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to assist their CTO in setting, implementing, and maintaining the CI/CD for their growing ecosystem. 

    Duration: 5 months (Contract-to-Hire)

    Pay: $50 to $55/hr

    The Azure Operations & Deployment Engineer will be a combination of developer and operations for a SaaS platform built on .NET and Microsoft Azure. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the deployment of both code and configuration of services in both production and development scenarios.

    The DevOps Engineer will be able to write scripts and code to automate the deployment of code and APIs as well as the creation and maintenance of Azure services.

    Responsibilities

    • Build scripts for the infrastructure and owning the DevOps build, deploy, and CI.

    • Solid understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices.

    • Experience provisioning services in Azure using Azure CLI, Azure Resource Manager, or Azure PowerShell.

    • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or comparable platforms (e.g. GitHub).

    • Experience with Azure Active Directory Domain authentication services.

    • Experience in configuring a Microsoft Azure Environment across a wide variety of services, such as Azure: App Services, SQL Server, Function Apps, Storage, Media Services, Cache for Redis, Cosmos DB, Application Insights, Key Vaults, Active Directory, DevOps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management Services, Content Delivery Networks

    • Experience securing an Azure environment.

    • General experience with certificates and DNS.

    • Ability to create a dashboard to present meaningful data to executive-level employees.

    • Must be willing to be on-call for emergency occurrences (very rare).

    • Demonstrated ability to write PowerShell scripts and modules for deployments and developer tools.

    • Experience with Docker would be beneficial.

    The DevOps Engineer must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact with the leadership team, vendors, and clients and should be able to effectively communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally. Must be able to thoroughly document processes, logical system designs, and implementations in a combination of Excel, Word, and Visio.
