    Supplier Development Engineer | Immediate Need | Remote

    • Pay: $60-$70/hour

    • Location: Remote

    • Start Date: As soon as available

    • Duration: 1+ year

    A Fortune 500 Aerospace Manufacturing Organization is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to fully support 8 – 10 commodities suppliers for subcontracting purchasing contracts.

    Supplier Development Manager Responsibilities:

    • Support and Manage Machined Commodities Suppliers

    • Lead Global Sourcing Suppler assessment process activities

    • Liaison with internal/external commodities teams 

    • Lead commodity-specific supplier improvement projects in QDRC (quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost)

    • Direct and lead improvement activities in areas of Six Sigma and Manufacturing

    • Work with Statistical Analysis products such as SPC XL, or similar

    • Required travel to supplier locations as needed (up to 60% - 75%)

    Required Skills:

    • 3-5 yrs experience in quality/manufacturing engineering production environment

    • Specialized technical knowledge / expertise within a specific commodity is preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to align supply base with commodity strategies

    • Blackbelt training (certification preferred)

    • Advanced knowledge in Six Sigma activities, incl. Kaizen and VSM (Value Stream Mapping)

    • Solid understanding of AS9100, ISO-9001, and TS-16949 quality standard requirements

    • 4 yr degree in Engineering

    • Microsoft office products experience
