    Job Title: Machining Manufacturing Engineer 

    Hours: 6:30 to 4:30, some flex and some overtime required 


    A Fortune 500 company is seeking a Machining Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in New Holland, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities in selected areas. 

    Responsibilities include: 

    • Evaluates productivity and recommends improvements to increase efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions. 
    • Plans machining by reviewing engineering blueprints, materials, specifications, machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances. Estimate tooling needs for new parts and existing part improvements. Collaborates on design and production of proper fixturing. 
    • Develop manufacturing plans for parts and assemblies, create visual work instructions, and collaborate with our design engineering team to resolve technical issues and to ensure that we meet quality and delivery requirements. 
    • Provide full shop support to address and resolve manufacturing technical problems/questions and non-conformances. 
    • Project Management: Develops, designs and plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities. 
    • Establishes accident prevention measures and ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines. 
    • Other related duties as assigned. 

     


    Required Qualifications 

    The qualified candidate will have: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    • 3 or more years of experience in grey iron, ductile iron, and low carbon steel machining 
    • Previous experience in Machining Engineering to included machining centers, lathes, mills, hobs, grinders, and induction heat-treating. 
    • Working knowledge of Pro-E/CREO and AutoCAD, reading part drawings, parts lists, specifications and familiarity with MRP/ERP is ideal. 
    • Experience with ESPRIT, or M and G code CNC programming is strongly preferred 
    • Good PC skills and proficiency with MS Office suite 
    • Flexibility to work outside schedule shift to support production needs
