    Two Surgical Pharmacy Technicians needed for our client located in Long Beach, NY for two 3-month contract assignments with the days/hours of Hours are Tuesday - Friday 11:15 am - 7:00 pm and on Saturday's from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. 

    Job description for the two Surgical Pharmacy Technicians:

    Responsibilities:

    • Receiving orders/scripts from accounts and processing and/or billing them correctly.
    • Be able to use LTC, Docutrack, Pharmacy+, Chem Link and other prescription tracking software and programs
    • Billing orders correctly to third parties
    • Answering phones
    • Issue pick-ups and resolving orders
    • Responding to customer inquiries
    • Research products if covered by insurance
    • Contacting doctors/nurses to gather order or patient information and have orders written correctly
    • Contact insurance to determine primary insurance for patient and billing accordingly
    • Filing and organizing of orders
    • Demonstrate a positive approach to work.
    • Show a personal commitment to the successful performance of the company
    • Be self motivated and follow through without prompting
    • Performs other tasks as assigned.
    •  Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

    Job requirements for the two Surgical Pharmacy Technicians:

    • High School or equivalent
    • Formal training as Pharmacy Technician (educational program w/medical exp.
    • 2 years of related experience in long term care, retail, hospital or mail order
    • 1 year previous third party billing experience with Surgical orders
    • Ability to work as a member of a team
    • Ability to operate personal computers and/or computer terminals
    • Skilled in performing detailed work
    • Ability to recognize and identify patient medications
    • Computer literacy (basic skills)
    • To provide appropriate customer service, The Pharmacy Technician must be flexible in their work schedule, as they may be required to stay past their scheduled time to ensure timely customer delivery.
