    Data Entry/Medical Records Specialist needed for our client located in Long Beach, NY for a 20-month long contract assignment. 

    Job description for the Date Entry/Medical Records Specalist:

    A  Data Entry position involving some responsibility for maximizing specific employees working at a similar task for the Company. Also performs backup responsibility in the Med Records area.

    • Data Entry of Web UI /UEO
    • Answer main phone line as well as medical records department
    • Provide excellent customer service when answering the phones or returning calls after retrieving voice mails
    • Appropriately and accurately print the monthly and admission forms in a timely manner
    • Observe confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information
    • Ensure that all requests for records are printed with the correct start date of monthly
    • Ensure all MARS printed are packaged, correct shipping labels are printed and delivered to correct facility
    • Identify all duplicate medications patient specific and review for accuracy
    • Maintain the allergy report for all patients
    • Maintain the room change reports
    • Maintain the discharges reports
    • May answer incoming phone calls from accounts or client services and or incoming\outgoing calls
    • Understand the importance of accuracy and held accountable for any errors
    • Performs other tasks as assigned including assisting other departments.

    Job requirements for the Date Entry/Medical Records Specalist:

    • High School or equivalent
    • 1-2 years working in a Long Term Care environment
    • 2- 5 years of working in a Long Term care environment
    • Demonstrated ability to do job
    • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
    • Good work ethic and flexibility
