    Our client is a global company looking for a Cost Control Manager for its Glenview, IL location.

    Rate: $45-$55/hr

    Term: 6 months

    Interview: 1 phone and 1 onsite

    The Cost Control Manager will monitor purchase cost performance, including compliance to agreements. This role will be responsible for identifying areas of cost leakage and developing and implementing gap-closing measures.

    The Cost Control Manager will work closely with the supply chain, sourcing, and finance teams to improve our cost performance as it relates to purchasing costs. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement cost control programs and procedures to ensure proper cost management. 
    • Identify and analyze variances, and provide regular visibility to key stakeholders. 
    • Monitor and verify invoice discrepancies 
    • Work with cross-functional team members to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions. 
    • Identify appropriate KPIs, monitor, and report regularly.

    Qualifications: 

    • 5 years’ prior experience in a procurement role. 
    • Prior experience analyzing and understanding costs and appropriate countermeasures. 
    • The ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, manage time effectively and work independently to meet time-sensitive deadlines. 
    • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 
    • Must be detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and can work independently with a minimal level of supervision. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, General Business, or appropriately related field. 
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
    • Strong math skills 
    • Working knowledge of procurement processes and systems. 
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
