Job Description:
Pay: $25-$30 per hour (1.5x for overtime)
Duration: 6+months
A Fortune 500 (NYSE) company is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 6+month engagement located in Houston, TX. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Reconcile various company-wide bank accounts
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Works well under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with FP&A group
- Provide professional customer service to internal customers
- Participate in the monthly close cycle and ensure that deadlines are met
- Research of balance sheet as well as profit and loss account variances
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Duties/responsibilities may be modified to reflect changing priorities and/or work conditions with our client.
