    Billing Specialist

    Duration: 6-months (could extend or convert)

    Pay: $22 to $27/hr

    Our client is a Fortune 500 (NYSE) company, in the Southwest Houston suburbs, seeking numerous Billing Specialists to ramp up their Billing Team for Q4. The Billing Specialist will support invoicing functions across all their Industries Groups, including invoice generation, invoice distribution, and invoice adjustments.

    The Billing Specialist will be responsible for providing the best-invoicing experience from invoice creation to distribution. The Billing Specialist handles a high volume of transactions, working alongside internal and external clients ensuring billing needs are met.

    Function:

    • Ensure invoicing is completed accurately and on time, which includes:

      • Set up billing upon receipt of a contract

      • Create invoices in accordance with contract requirements

      • Review and process invoices in the designated ERP system

      • Delivery of invoice to the client (email, portal upload, mail)

      • Process credit memo and/or credit & rebill as required

    • Communicate with Operations, FP&A, Collections to answer questions regarding revenue and resolve/notify of billing issues.

    • Provide reports / maintain a checklist for individual performance tracking\

    • Ad hoc projects, as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

    • 5 years of experience in Billing or Accounting related position is mandatory

    • Experience w/ Audit, SOX and Compliance requirements is a plus

    • Experience with AR / Collections is a plus

    • Large ERP experience (preferred JDE and Oracle Financials)

    • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus

    • Advanced Excel (v-lookups, sum-ifs, pivot table, etc) is a plus

    • ASC 606 understanding/experience is a plus
