    Pay Range: $70-$80 (W2)/$85-$100(1099)

    Duration: 5+months

    Location: Remote

    Our large insurance client is looking for a Technology Manager to assist with the day-to-day maintenance of their Apptio implementation while simultaneously improving technology capabilities.

    This is a 100% REMOTE based role, however, once COVID-19 remote work requirements are lifted there may be a need to occasionally visit the office in Philadelphia. Any costs associated with this travel are reimbursable.

     

    Additional responsibilities include the following:

    • Extremely strong skills with the Apptio software is a requirement
    • At least three to four years’ experience in IT operations and IT finance
    • Experience in IT inventory and expense management, vendor management, cost allocation, and Technology Business Management
    • Experience in linking IT and finance data elements and gathering necessary IT operations data needed to allocate infrastructure costs to products and services
    • Experience in reporting and visualization development (requirements gathering, development, design, update via feedback) for IT and business unit stakeholders
    • Experience in IT service management, IT operations, and IT financial management concepts
    • Experience facilitating discussions with financial management, IT operations, and business unit leadership personnel
    • Experience in cost management allocation concepts, specifically IT allocation methodologies and their alternatives (e.g. the various ways to assign physical server costs to applications & services)

     

    Description:

    • Develop processes policies and procedures to support new data governance process redesigns, including SOPs.
    • Develop processes policies and procedures to support the automation of User Provisioning and Set-up.
    • Improve system maintenance and administration processes with a particular emphasis on reducing key man risk.
    • Identify opportunities to improve Apptio configuration, out-of-the-box reporting, and processes that impact Apptio.
    • Develop training presentations, cheat sheets, FAQs, data definitions, and other materials that will be used to train and educate users and key stakeholders from IT and IT finance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the user experience through new/improved reporting, enablement of self-service capabilities, and other mechanisms.
    • Develop a road map for the future state for TCO, costing, and bill of IT.
    • Work with application owners,  leads, finance representatives, and functional lines of business leaders to collect relevant data, build processes, and develop models in implement Total Cost of Ownership and consumption-based allocations so as to drive improved transparency and decision making.
    • Develop a best practice governance approach to establish roles and responsibilities. This includes defining/recommending the optimal approach to manage changing roles and responsibilities during the learning curve phase and needs to consider the following:

      • Ensure any approach developed aligns with  calendar and ability to bring the IT community up to speed
      • Develop and lead continuous improvement of the existing framework, models, taxonomy, and metrics
