    Pay: $70-90 per hour (W2) / $90-$110 per hour (1099)

    Duration: 3-4 months

    Location: Remote

    A Large Mid-Tier Public Accounting firm is seeking a REMOTE Tax Manager Contractor with CONSTRUCTION and REAL ESTATE Industry Experience for busy season.

    In this role, you will manage the efforts of multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget.

    Responsibilities:

    • Running client engagements from start to finish which includes planning, executing, directing and completing tax projects

    • Manage client engagement budget

    • Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns & provide feedback;

    • Reviewing complex tax returns

    • Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities

    • Utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns.

    Experience:

    • 5-8+ years of tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.

    • Previous management experience in a tax role within public accounting.

    • Previous tax return review experience.

    • Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance,

    • Experience required in Construction and Real Estate industries.

    • Ability to supervise staff and lead client engagements;

    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Masters in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, JD, or CFP.
