    Title: Tax Associate

    Location: Remote in Charlotte, NC area

    Pay: $27 - $33/hr W2

    Duration: 3 months

    Description for Tax Associate:

    Our large Public Accounting client is seeking a Tax Associate to assist in a contract or contract-to-hire capacity supporting their State & Local Tax (SALT) group in the Charlotte, NC office.  This role is 100% REMOTE until a return to the physical office later this year.

    Requirements for Tax Associate:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

    • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale is required.

    • Desire to pursue CPA or other sales tax-related certification.

      • 150 semester hours of education is preferred for those who plan to pursue CPA licensure.

    • Sales and Use tax experience preferred but not required; experience in public accounting is a plus.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong teamwork and analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

    • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
