    INTERNAL AUDIT CONSULTANT – SOX & Risk Assessment

    Pay: $60-75 per hour (W2)+1.5x(Overtime) $90-112 per hour OR Up to $85/hour 1099

    Start Date: Week of 10/25/21

    Duration: 3+months

    Location: FULL REMOTE

    Our top 6 large Public Accounting Client is immediately seeking to fill an Audit Consultant (Contactor) for a 3+month contract opportunity.

    This position is equivalent to a Sr. Internal Auditor and will perform an important role in executing and performing lending audits under the direction of Clients' internal audit management team.

    Project Scope:

    • Develop project scope and project plan, including tasks, owners, milestones, timetable, and communication protocols.
    • Provide SOX Walkthrough documentation including but not limited to; Gap Analysis, Risk Control Matrix, Narratives, etc.
    • Assess risks and materiality and confirm significant accounts, processes, business units, functions, control assertions, and related supporting information technology (IT).
    • Perform walkthroughs of in-scope cycles, both business process (BP) and IT in order to confirm understanding of controls and current operations.
    • Communicate overall plans, objectives, expectations, and timing to all relevant stakeholders, including external auditor(s) (as applicable).
    • Create Risk and Control Matrices (“RCM’s”) for in-scope BP and IT cycles and generate process narratives for in-scope business activities.

    Project Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or related field.
    • Fluent in English and comfortable with writing narrative documents.
    • CIA or CPA license/certification preferred.
    • 3+ years’ experience in business process internal audit, SOX, or process design
    • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding relationships.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Office Suite applications.
    • Ability to work additional hours as needed
