    Tax Senior – State and Local Tax Practice

    Pay: $55-$70/hour

    Start Date: ASAP

    Contract Length: 3 months (Contract to Hire is a Possibility)

    Location: New York, New York preferred (remote ok)

     

    A large New York based Public Accounting Firm is seeking experienced tax senior consultants to join their State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice. The Tax Senior Consultant - SALT will serve on various client service teams with a focus on tax compliance and review for private equity, venture and real estate funds.

     

    Responsibilities of the Tax Senior – State and Local Tax Practice: 

    • Preparation and review of tax returns

    • Participate in tax planning and consultation process for clients

    • Assist mangers in identifying client issues and communication with client and management

    • Conduct research on various client issues

    • Supervise and train tax associates

    Requirements for the Tax Senior – State and Local Tax Practice:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree

    • 3+ years of partnership and SALT taxation experience

    • Knowledge of foreign reporting requirements a plus

    • Experience with BNA, CCH, Checkpoint or other tax research tools a plus

    • Experience with fund accounting/tax software (Advent Geneva, NTAS, CCH, FastTax) a plus

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    • CPA or Enrolled Agent a plus!
