    TAX MANAGER | 5+MONTHS | REMOTE | PAY $65-$75 (W2)+1.5X (OVERTIME) / $70-$85 (C2C)

    START: Jan 2023 (or sooner!)

    Seeking Tax Manager for Busy Season (5+ months), REMOTE, San Jose, CA (Must Reside in PST, MST, or CST) EST Candidates will NOT be considered

    This position is involved in all stages of tax return preparation of a top 10 public accounting firm.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Prepare schedules and working papers for the firm's partnership income tax returns, including certain partner-related information (such as K-1 schedules, composite schedules, etc.). Must have experience with flowthrough and ASC 740. 

    • Assist in the preparation of the firm's federal, state and local income tax returns.

    • Perform tax research as necessary regarding federal and state tax issues affecting the U.S. firms.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of experience with personal, partnership and/or corporate federal and state income tax.

    • 3-5 years of public accounting experience preferred.

    • Ability to use spreadsheet programs (Excel) required.

    • Strong tax compliance skills required.

    Education

    • BA in Business, Finance, or Accounting

    • Masters of Tax degree and CPA certification (or eligibility to sit for CPA exam) required.
