Job Description:
iOS Instructor needed for a contract position for our client located in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Job Description for the iOS Instructor:
- Ability to be kind and patient when explaining new IT concepts to students
- Approachable and excellent ability to work with various levels of students within a classroom setting (not a school environment, however)
- Assist and lead Teaching Assistants that will be reporting to you
- Conduct or help conduct quizzes, and tests along with projects as needed
- Find ways to assist students in need
- Keep on track with instructor materials with excellent time management skills
- Suggest edits and improvements to the curricula or structure of the IT program
Job Requirements for the iOS Instructor:
- 3+ years' experience in the Instructor-led track of training and within IT framework or course of study
- Must be a local/regional candidate to Louisville, Kentucky
- Experience in at least 1 IT major framework and language (Java and Swift highly preferred)
- Extensive experience building and maintaining apps using mobile application development technologies, especially modern Java or Swift
- Passion for IT, and development/mentoring and teaching of other up and coming IT Developers
- Strong belief that students learn best through guided, hands-on experience
- Strong understanding of development best practices (TDD, version control, design patterns, performance), math principles (calculus and statistics), CS principles (algorithms and data structures), and advanced CS concepts
