    Senior Software Developer

    Pay: $65-75(1099) or $55-$65 (W2)

    Duration: 6+months

    Location: Downtown Chicago

    A Fortune 500 company is seeking a Senior Software Developer with min. 7 yrs experience in the following technologies; Javascript, CSS/SCSS, Bootstrap, AngularJS, JQuery, Spring MVC, Spring Security, SQL, Hibernate. Java certification is highly desired. 

    The Senior Software Developer reports to the Application Development Manager and will design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.

     

    The Senior Developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.  


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Work with business end-users to determine requirements and propose approaches to address users' needs. 

    • Analyze requirements to determine approach/proposed solution.

    • Design and Build Solutions using relevant programming languages. 

    • Thoroughly test solutions using relevant approaches and tools.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • 7 years’ experience working as an application designer and developer working with enterprise applications. 

    • Technically fluent in programming languages, including C, Java. 

    • Knowledge of database design and file management techniques. 

    • Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures. 

    • Knowledge of Web-based Architectures 

    • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. 

    • Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, development, and test. 

    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 

    • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

    • Java certification is highly desired.

    EDUCATION: 

    College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 8+ years equivalent work experience.
