    Our client is a Fortune 500 and top place to work in Chicago and they're seeking a Network Analyst for a 6-month engagement.

    The Network Analyst will be coordinating and delivering VPN tunnel connectivity with our client's numerous locations worldwide for an IoT project.

    Length: 6 months min.

    Pay: 

    Hours: This position will be shift based.

    Description:

    This Network Analyst will monitor, support, audit and maintain existing network services for our client's customers and business partners. Under light supervision, the Network Analyst will perform moderately complex work to maintain the overall stability of the network. The Network Analyst is a technical resource with knowledge and experience system/network monitoring, troubleshooting and customer service. The Network Analyst will interact with a variety of platforms, technologies, and vendors, including Cisco and F5. The Network Analyst’s goal will be to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, respond in a timely fashion and consult with fellow team members as needed.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide front line network support to customers.
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, etc).
    • Monitor and respond to alerts from operations and report anomalies.
    • Deployment of OS images, inventory, and deployments.
    • Escalate any issues in a timely manner to more senior network staff.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 1-year experience in information technology or technical support
    • General knowledge of networking and networking technologies is preferred.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
    • Highly self-motivated and directed.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong customer service orientation.

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Prefer an entry-level certificated such as Cisco CCNA.

    EDUCATION:

    • High school diploma/GED required and 1-year work experience.
