  • Job Description:

    Our client is a Fortune 500 leader and top place to work for in Downtown Chicago. They are currently in need of an IT Project Manager.

    The Project Manager's role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of software application development, testing, and deployment. The Project Manager will report to the Application Development Director and work directly with the Application Development Managers.

    • Looking for a PM with strong app development & associated technical background.
    • Ensure development projects meet business requirements and goals including meeting business requirements and systems efficiency requirements.
    • Manage the Development and Deployment of enhancements to existing applications and connectivity to internal sub-systems and vendor systems.
    • Manages Agile/JIRA workflow, story creation, prioritization, and organization.
    • Manage and provide direction to the application development team in support of business operations.
    • Cultivate and enforce functional policies, procedures and quality assurance best practices.
    • Work cross-functionally within IT, across the business, and with 3rd party partners.
    • Manage a team of 3-8 people both in Chicago and in Jinan, China.
    • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.
    • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
    • Highly self-motivated and directed.
    • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Creates, manages and executes project plans to support the ongoing needs of the IT department.
    • Coordinates resources, establishes deadlines and assigns responsibilities.
    • Tracks the progress of projects and compiles status reports for senior management.
    • Builds working relationships with team members, vendors and other departments involved in the projects.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related area and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
