    Our client is a Publicly Traded, European based medical device company with operations in Toronto and the US. They have a need for a Software Project Manager for an engagement up to 9 months starting in late January 2020.

    Pay Rate: $70 to $80 (Independent Contractor Rate)

    Location: Toronto-based Consultants required

    Duration: 6 to 9 months

    The Software Project Manager must be located in Toronto, Canada and be available on-site every other week and can work remotely for the rest of the time. 

    The PM should have strong SW knowledge in addition to having a proven track record as a Project Manager. The Software development tools currently being used are Jenkins Server as a development environment and test tools include\ Polyspace and Vectorcast. The operating system used for the project is Linux.

    This person would be responsible to oversee three separate SW packages being developed between Europe (2 packages) and Toronto (1 package and will need to be integrated into a single system.

    The Software PM should also have exposure and/or aptitude with the following:

    • Strong programming skills in C, C++
    • Strong knowledge of microcontroller and microprocessor-based embedded systems, mainly ARM processors
    • Solid experience with Qt Graphic Framework and developing complex Graphic User Interfaces
    • Solid experience of Software platform development, such as Embedded Linux and custom builds
    • Experience with GUI test tools (e.g. Squish) as well as static/dynamic code analysis for SW Unit and SW Integration testing (e.g. VectorCAST and Polyspace)
    • Knowledge of SCM (SW Configuration Management) tools as SVN, GIT, JIRA, Eclipse IDE, ClearCase, etc.
    • Knowledge and previous experience working with Agile methodologies
    • Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management tools as Polarion
    • Knowledge of EU, US and international medical quality, safety standards (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485).
    • Operation and use of standard test and measuring instruments
