    Our large Public Accounting client is looking for a Technical Product Owner (TPO) to gather high level requirements and define the set of capabilities and features needed for systems development and implementations. The candidate will break requirements down into Agile features and stories and determine where these stories should reside in the Corporate Systems functional support teams. The role works with cross-functional teams in a collaborated effort to achieve successful implementations. Responsibilities include direct engagement with business product owners and stakeholders, coordinating implementation of business capabilities with functional technical product owners as well as interacting with the business and IT leadership teams.

     

    Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

    • Perform the role of technical product owner in an Agile/Scrum based IT development organization using the Agile framework

    • Translate business objectives into a set of capabilities and features to be implemented

    • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the features/user stories so they are clearly understood by the development teams

    • Gather, understand, and document requirements

    • Create features and user stories with acceptance criteria

    • With the functional TPO determine definition of ready and definition of done for product/process deliverable

    • Represent teams in front of business product owners, stakeholders, and leadership teams

    • Business and technology partner liaison, relationship building, and communications – build strong rapport and working relationships across teams

    • Adhere to and revise as appropriate the Financial Systems Mergers & Acquisitions Playbook

                   

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Advanced experience working in agile, scrum, SAFe environments – deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies

    • Proven history of gathering requirements and translating to features and user stories for technical projects, mergers, and acquisitions in an Agile framework

    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

    • Strong Financial Systems acumen

    • Ability to function at a high aptitude effectively with ambiguous assignments and tasks

    • Ability to own tasks outside of immediate scope of responsibility

    • Technical aptitude to partner with development teams

     

    Technical Product Owner Corporate Systems

    • Analytical thinker and problem solver

    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills - strong written and verbal communication skills at the executive level

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Agile Product Owner/Product Manager certification

    • Experience with ADO (Azure DevOps) software

    • Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials/ERP
