    ACCOUNTING CONSULTANT| 3+ MONTH CONTRACT | REMOTE

    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Duration: 3+ months. 

    • Pay: Up to $25-$30/hour (W2)

    • Location:  Remote

    Our Client, a global public accounting firm is seeking an immediate opening for Accounting Consultant within the accounting department who has a successfully demonstrated track record of month-end close support, management and execution. The successful Accounting Consultant will support a variety of Close activities including coordination within AP for proper period recording, AR management, general accounting and special projects as needed.     ACCOUNTING CONSULTANT SCOPE:

    • Prepare accurate and timely journal entries while adhering to the strict supporting documentation guidelines within tight close deadlines.

    • Review, reconcile and assess future actions of accrued balances in the general ledger and make appropriate adjusting entries in a timely fashion in accordance with GAAP.

    • Manage and review Accounts Payable

    • Manage AR Aging reports, ensure AP monthly review includes proper invoice coding.

    • Supports the Financial Controller with audit requests, special projects, ad-hoc research and analysis.

    • Assist in the preparation of all financial statements and any ad hoc reporting including work paper prep and footnote disclosures.

    • Provides support in other areas as required.

    ACCOUNTING CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or 5+ years’ experience in general accounting, AR and AP.

    • Experience in property management company a plus

    • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact

    • Strong understanding and demonstrated application of GAAP

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills

    • Entry level Microsoft Excel skills i.e. pivot tables, v/h-lookups

    • Ability to handle ambiguity in a rapidly changing fast paced environment

    • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines

    • Ability to function as a team player
