    International Tax Associate

    Pay: $55-65 per hour (W2) + 1.5x (overtime!!)

    Duration: 4+ months

     

    A large Public Accounting Firm is seeking an International Tax Associate for their clients on the East Coast. The International Tax Associate is primarily responsible for reviewing complex international tax returns and delivering international tax services for a variety of industries; preparing more complex international tax returns; developing and supervising staff; and assisting in client management and practice development activities.

     

    Responsibilities for International Tax Associate:

    • Provide international tax services that provide measurable value and advise clients from a range of different industries on international tax matters.
    • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on international tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews
    • Perform in-charge role as needed.
    • Review complex business returns with international complexities and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities to gain increasing responsibility in review process.
    • Research and analyze international and domestic tax issues
    • Utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
    • Write and review tax advice for the client. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities

     

    Qualifications for International Tax Associate:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Two to four+ years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with at least one year focused on international taxation.
    • Experience with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or large corporate tax department of a multinational company.
    • Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.
    • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tax software, and CCH.
    • CPA Preferred.
