    Pay: $25-$28 per hour (1.5x for overtime)

    Duration: 6+months (to possible hire)

    A Fortune 500 (NYSE) company is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 6+month (to a possible hire) engagement located in the Southwest suburbs of Houston, TX. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:

    • Reconcile various company-wide bank accounts

    • Perform general ledger account reconciliations

    • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information

    • Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

    • Works well under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment

    • Ability to communicate and collaborate with FP&A group 

    • Provide professional customer service to internal customers

    • Participate in the monthly close cycle and ensure that deadlines are met

    • Research of balance sheet as well as profit and loss account variances

    • Special projects and other duties as assigned

    • Duties/responsibilities may be modified to reflect changing priorities and/or work conditions with our client.
