    SOX and Internal Audit Consultant

    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Duration: 3+ months

    • Location: Tampa (commutable) Hybrid

    • Pay: $45-55/hour 

    A Top 10 Public Accounting Firm is seeking an organized and hardworking SOX and Internal Audit Consultant to test SOX controls and perform internal audits.

    In this role, the SOX and Internal Audit Consultant will:

    • Walk through SOX environment with clients to identify controls in support of SOX.

    • Familiarity with Financial Reporting and testing of controls/procedures around Financial Reporting

    • Contribute to the identification of control weaknesses, design or operating effectiveness gaps, vulnerabilities, audit exceptions and inefficiencies

    • Manage and organize requests and submitted documentation in support of testing controls.

    • Prepare testing lead sheets and documentation with high quality and in line with external auditor expectations

    • Prepare client facing materials with high quality and with an attention to detail

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting

    • 3-5 years Sox and IA experience

    • Work to be performed both onsite and remote

    • CPA or CIA a plus
