    Tax Manager - Private Equity

    Pay: $60-$80/hr (W2) or up to $120/hr (1099)

    Start Date: ASAP (May start date)

    Contract Length: 3 months (Contract to Hire is a possibility)

    Location: New York, New York preferred (remote ok)

    A large New York based Public Accounting Firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. Ideally, the Tax Manager will have previous private equity experience and will be well versed with partnership returns. The Tax Manager will focus  on tax review and compliance and will be responsible for reviewing the work of team members and managing the overall engagement.

    Responsibilities of the Tax Manager: 

    • Manage team of tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services

    • Communicate with clients to obtain all information required to ensure complete and accurate tax compliance services are provided

    • Determine areas of exposure for clients and adapt to challenges in the compliance process and advise the client on best practices

    • Help train and guide staff through the tax compliance process through on-the-job training

    • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date with trends, developments, and technical authorities

    Requirements for the Tax Manager:

    • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

    • 5+ year of experience of PE tax-related work and/or partnerships returns

    • CPA preferred

    • Broad focus on Federal taxation

    • Experience with international tax and transactions a plus!

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    • GoSystems experience is required
