    Tax Associate

    Pay: $45-$55/hour

    Start Date: ASAP

    Contract Length: 3 months (Contract to Hire is a Possibility)

    Location: New York, New York preferred (remote ok)

    A large New York based Public Accounting Firm is seeking experienced tax associates to join their team. The Tax Associate will serve on various client service teams with a focus on tax compliance for partnerships such as private equity.

    Responsibilities of the Tax Associate:

    •  Preparation of federal and state/local tax returns for various clients

    • Participate in tax planning and consultation process for clients

    • Conduct basic tax research relevant to work assigned

    • Complete all aspects of accounting and tax engagements for clients

    Requirements for the Tax Associate:

    • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    • 2-3 years partnership taxation experience

    • State taxation experience a plus!

    • Private equity taxation experience a plus!

    • GoSystems required

    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

    • Strong analytical skills
