    Talent Acquisition Specialist

    Pay: $40-$50/hr (W2)

    Start Date: ASAP

    Contract Length: 3 Months (contract to hire possibility)

    Location:  Salinas, CA

    A Midsize Health Systems Company is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team!

    Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist:

    • Completes intake and strategy sessions with hiring managers to ensure the job description/posting accurately reflects the job duties, qualifications and appropriate competencies; Reviews and finalizes the job requisition before posting
    • Sources talent through various recruitment channels and talent pools (e.g., Hartnell College, LinkedIn, Assoc. of OR RN’s)
    • Screens applications to narrow the applicant pool and routes the most qualified applicants to the hiring manager for review
    • Partners with the hiring manager to prepare the conditional offer based on our compensation philosophies and union contracts; Delivers the job offer and negotiates on behalf of the hiring manager and organization
    • Initiates the onboarding process including pre-employment checks (e.g., referencing, background checks, lab work, and pre-employment health screen)
    • Completes onboarding paperwork with the new hire, enrolls in orientation and enters into the HR information system in partnership with the HR Generalist
    • Conducts new hire orientation
    • Manages contingent staffing vendors and contractors including the selection, onboarding process and ongoing compliance requirements
    • Creates, inputs, and maintains computer data files, tracks and calculates data, and compiles reports as necessary. 
    • Assists in the cover/relief of other department staff as needed and assists with special projects as necessary

    Requirements for the Talent Acquisition Specialist:

    • 3+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment
    • High school diploma or GED required (BS in business or Human Resources strongly preferred)
    • HRCI preferred
    • Healthcare experience is a plus!
