    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) | PAY $100-$125 PER HOUR W2 | TRANSPORATION/LOGISTICS/3PL | CHICAGO (REMOTE)

    Description:

    A disruptive transportation/logistics technology “start-up” soon to be $300+mm/$20mm EBITDA (from 1st acquisition) is seeking a CFO (Contract-to-Hire) to begin in the creation of the accounting/finance function. The position is set to start anytime from late January to early February, and while company is based in Chicagoland, CFO can work remotely and sit anywhere domestically.

     

    • CFO will need to create processes around cash management and cashflow planning

    • Establish month-end procedures and calendars around all accounting, tax and finance activities

    • Will work with CEO and COO in the creating of the annual and 3-year financial plan

    • Creation of pricing financial models related the transportation industry

    • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

    • Initially hands-on in all initial accounting and financial matters, while working towards standing up a self-sustaining accounting department of the course of the next 3 years.

    • Assist in the creation of financial models and participate in due diligence activities related to all future acquisitions (Target of reaching $1Billion in annual revenue within 3-5 years)

    • Manage banking relationships and provide expertise to fellow C-Level members related to future funding activities.

    • Prepare all investment spend proposals

    • Report creation of all necessary management reports

     

    Experience:

    • 10+years Total Experience

    • Transportation, 3PL, Logistics or Similar Industry experience is required

    • Former Controllership or CFO exp

    • ERP (Company is currently utilizing MS Dynamics, but is open to switching ERP)

    • Hands-On

    • CPA a plus
