    Immediate Need: Sr. Network Engineer for Federal Contract

    Open/Competitive Bidding

    • Pay: Open Bidding, based on experience

    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Contract Length: 6+ months

    • Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (Onsite)

    A Fortune 100 Technology Company is seeking an experienced Sr. Network Engineer with Federal/Government experience and appropriate security clearances for a project supporting Federal Agencies with implementation and operational aspects of Oracle IT components.

    Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance is required. Do not apply for this role if you do not have the appropriate active US Government clearance requirements.

    Systems Experience Preferred:

    • Experience designing and deploying Cisco routing/switching technologies as well as incorporating Cisco firewalls into a large, diverse network.

    • Experience with network management tools such as SolarWinds.

    • Experience with logging tools such as Splunk.

    • Experience creating / maintaining detailed system / network diagrams.

    • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks

    • Experience with enterprise networking including virtual networking experience (VxLAN, MPLS, with segment routing, traffic management, QoS) is a plus

    • Experience with Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3 IT cloud infrastructure technologies is a plus

    • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP

    • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

    • Have knowledge with monitoring network performance, solving technical issues, deploying, configuring, and upgrading network equipment, managing firewall changes, ensuring network security, and providing customer service. This position will collaborate with other departments and vendors to plan, design, implement and oversee all network services including wireless, virtual private networking (VPN), firewall, Internet, switching and routing.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years experience developing and delivering IT Architectures or IT systems design/ engineering services or supported that activity with an organization.

    • Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance is required

    • Functional Responsibility: Provides architecture and business consulting services. Functions as lead consultant and project manager on technically complex projects.

    • Programing in Python and Perl.

    • Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of network platforms and procedures in tools like Confluence

    • Experience with creating and updating network diagrams, network infrastructure performance reports and dashboards in tools like Visio, Solarwinds, ThousandEyes, ExtraHop and Sumo Logic
