    Lead Technician: Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)

    • Duration: 6 months contract (potential extension)

    • Rate: $45 - $60 w2 hourly (1.5X for overtime)

    • Location: Austin, TX (onsite)

    PCB Technicians are responsible assembling, repairing, reworking and the modification of developmental and production components, parts, equipment, and PCBs. PCB Techs will follow build-to-print and custom test systems documentation under the direction of the production manager, production flow control and/or engineering. This is a versatile and highly skilled, hands-on manufacturing job that may include operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, performing chemical analysis and additions, and chemical material handling while meeting goals for output and quality. 

    Description:

    • MUST HAVE: ability to solder / repair and build printed circuit boards

    • Lead a team of 10 PCB Technicians in assembling, repairing, reworking, and modifying developmental and production components, equipment, and PCBs.

    • Provide guidance and direction to the team, ensuring adherence to build-to-print and custom test systems documentation.

    • Operate production equipment, oversee quality inspections, and manage chemical analysis and additions.

    • Ensure team meets output and quality goals.

    • Personally perform and supervise reworking and repairing of PCBs and electronic assemblies according to drawings, instructions, procedures, schematics, and engineering guidance.

    • Utilize various tools and soldering equipment for precision work.

    • Lead by example in creating finished, professional subassemblies or systems, meeting customer requirements.

    • Work with production managers, flow control, and engineering to optimize processes and resolve issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven leadership experience in a hands-on manufacturing role.

    • Excellent attention to detail.

    • Proficiency in using soldering equipment and a variety of tools.

    • Comfortable working in an electro-chemical manufacturing environment.

    • Good to have: Current or past certification for IPC-A-600, IPC-6012 or equivalent

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
