    IT SECURITY ANALYST / ADMIN  | $35-$45/HR W2  | CONTRACT WITH POTENTIAL TO HIRE! 

    One of those hidden gem employers of Richmond, VA is looking for an Mid Level IT Security Analyst to join their team. This is a contract position, but could convert to an FTE role if successful.

    • Pay: $35-$45/HR W2

    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Contract

    • Location: West End of Richmond, VA (Hybrid - On-site 3 days per week)

     

    Position Details: In this role, you will ensure that system level security is in place for all corporate systems handling day-to-day security operations and providing second or third tier support for security solutions/operations. This is a small, nimble team with a multitude of learning opportunities and room for growth. The ideal candidate would even want to research the latest security technologies/trends and feed into the overall technology strategy and roadmap.

     

    Experience (preferred):

    • Experience working with Crowdstrike Falcon, Varonis, and Palo Alto all a strong plus.

    • Experience with Network Administration is nice to have.

    • Ability to script in Powershell a plus.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of total IT experience with a min of 2 years of Info Sec experience in a corporate environment. 

    • Ability to juggle and prioritize competing needs including incident response, security requests, and special projects.

    • Ability to provide after hours support from time to time is required.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Security Admin, or related; or equivalent work experience.
