    Azure Synapse DevOps/Data Engineer | 12 Month Contract | Needed ASAP

    • Contract Length: 12+ Months

    • Pay: Up to $75/hr (W2) | Up to $90/hr (1099 C2C)

    • Location: On-Site in Pinellas Park, FL

    The Azure DevOps Engineer will play a key role in our strategic transformation from Oracle to Azure cloud solutions as related to data management, data integration, and our business intelligence program. This position combines technical support responsibilities with a lead role in designing, engineering, and the creation of a modernized data management solution stack.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead data architecture design to transform Oracle DB to Azure Synapse SQL and Azure managed services stack.

    • Move from traditional data warehouse to data mesh architecture.

    • Provide data architectural planning for data management platform and solution modernization.

    • Conduct implementation roadmap planning and design Agile User Stories with technical specifications.

    • Coordinate with the Lead Data Architect, Solutions Architect, and technical experts as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years' experience with Requirements Analysis, Solution Architecture Design, and data integration.

    • 8+ years' experience working with clients to translate business strategy into solutions.

    • 5+ years' hands-on experience with Azure Data Analytics platform, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and more.

    • Experience in data architectures such as data mesh, data vault 2.0, and familiarity with Data Lake house.

    • 3+ Years direct hands on Oracle DB experience or 3+ implementations/integrations FROM Oracle to SQL, Azure or other Microsoft data systems

    • Experience in Insurance and/or Finance/Banking industry experience

    • BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

    Additional Skills (Preferred):

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.

    • Experience with Azure ARM templates, PowerShell, CI/CD using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.

    • Experience on an Agile delivery team and with collaboration tools like Jira/Confluence.
