    HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT | CONTRACT TO HIRE | $20-$25/HOUR + OVERTIME

    Our SC banking client has an immediate need for a human resource assistant.  We are seeking a candidate that will play a critical role in the smooth functioning of HR processes within an organization.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience. 

    Job Title: HR Assistant 

    Job Summary: The HR Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and assisting with the overall management of HR operations. This role involves various tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing HR documents, coordinating recruitment efforts, and supporting employee relations activities. The HR Administrator works closely with HR professionals and other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Maintain Employee Records: Update and maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment status changes, and performance evaluations, using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software.

    2. Process HR Documents: Handle the preparation, distribution, and filing of HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and termination paperwork.

    3. Assist with Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks as needed. Assist in onboarding new hires and facilitating orientation programs.

    4. Handle Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Assist employees with benefits enrollment, inquiries, and claims processing.

    5. Provide HR Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including policies, procedures, and employment verification. Address employee concerns and escalate issues to HR management when necessary.

    6. Ensure Compliance: Assist with compliance efforts by maintaining knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all HR activities.

    7. Assist with HR Projects: Participate in HR initiatives and projects, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, and training programs. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

    • Previous experience in HR administration or related roles preferred.

    • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

    Additional Information:

    • The HR Administrator reports to the Director.
