    Junior React Frontend Developer (Chicago, Hybrid – Fast-Track Opportunity)

    The Opportunity:
    We’re supporting the digital team at a Fortune 500 company in their search for a junior-level frontend web developer. This is a long-term contract (6 months to start, likely to extend) with a highly regarded brand operating at the intersection of hospitality and enterprise technology.

    You’ll work in a collaborative, hybrid environment (2–3 days/week onsite in Chicago) alongside seasoned engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-impact web applications used globally.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Build and maintain client-facing web interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
    • Translate design and business requirements into functional components
    • Collaborate with backend developers, UX designers, and product owners
    • Optimize for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness
    • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and prototyping when needed
    • Stay current on best practices in frontend development

    Must-Have Qualifications:

    • 2–4 years of experience in frontend web development (not mobile/app)
    • Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, responsive design
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (required)
    • Based in Chicago and available to be onsite 2–3 days/week
    • Clear, focused resume — 1 page preferred

    Nice to Have:

    • Familiarity with design tools like Figma
    • Basic knowledge of accessibility standards (ARIA, WCAG)
    • Exposure to testing tools like Jest or Cypress
