    Oracle Cloud HCM – Absence Lead Functional Consultant

    Location: Remote

    Duration: 06/30/2025 to 07/25/2025 

    Rate: $80–$100/hr (C2C)

     

     

    Project Overview

    This role will serve as the functional lead for Absence Management during this phase, with a specific focus on configuring new absence types, integrating with external timekeeping systems, and supporting upcoming employee self-service workflows within the Redwood UX framework.

    The consultant will be responsible for system configuration, creating functional design documentation, developing and executing test scripts, and providing both training materials and end-user guidance.

     

     

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Configure absence types specific to global (non-US) legal jurisdictions
    2. Create functional design documents for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions
    3. Develop and execute test scripts for functional processes and technical components
    4. Work closely with internal stakeholders to support a successful rollout
    5. Support clients with test execution and resolve implementation issues
    6. Develop and deliver end-user documentation and training sessions
    7. Coordinate with offshore technical and functional teams throughout all project phases
    8. Provide regular updates and status reports to the Project Manager

     

     

    Qualifications

    1. At least 4 successful Oracle Cloud HCM Absence implementations as a lead functional consultant
    2. Expertise in configuring Accrual, Qualification, No Entitlement, and Compensatory absence plans
    3. Experience with Work Schedules, Shift Patterns, Scheduler Profiles
    4. Knowledge of derived factors, eligibility profiles, and absence-related compensation objects
    5. Hands-on Fast Formula experience preferred (e.g., time entry, absence calculations)
    6. Understanding of how Redwood UI affects employee-facing absence pages
    7. Familiarity with employee self-service rollout planning and testing
    8. Strong communication, documentation, and client-facing skills
    9. Ability to work independently and coordinate with offshore teams
    10. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
