    Job Title: Brand Marketing Manager (Contractor)

    Location: Downtown Chicago, IL **NOT REMOTE* (Onsite – accessible via public transportation)

    Start Date: September 29, 2025

    Duration: 6+months (ongoing assignment)

    Pay: $475-$525 Day Rate (C2C)…other pay arrangements can be discussed

     

    Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand Marketing Manager to join their team in a contractor capacity. This is a confidential opportunity with a well-established brand in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) space. The ideal candidate brings both strategic and hands-on marketing expertise and thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Lead and deliver branded programs, including brand restage, repositioning, communications, and NPD (New Product Development) pipeline development & delivery.
    2. Develop, manage, and execute the annual budget and 3-year strategic plan.
    3. Oversee and manage the marketing budget for the branded portfolio, ensuring optimal ROI.
    4. Monitor brand performance and define action plans to ensure continued growth.
    5. Manage internal and external stakeholders (IAT), building strong collaborative relationships.
    6. Lead and develop one direct report, fostering growth and capability building.

     

    Experience & Skills Requirements

    1. 7–10 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with a proven track record in Brand Management in decision-making roles.
    2. Strong ability to interpret the market from both trade and consumer lenses.
    3. Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience shaping brand strategy and execution.
    4. Entrepreneurial mindset with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to thrive in a lean organizational structure.
    5. Experience leading cross-functional teams, delivering projects from strategy through execution.
    6. Strong ability to cope with uncertainty, pivot quickly, and embrace change.
    7. Previous line management experience.

     

    Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

    1. Previous sales or trade/shopper marketing experience.
    2. Experience working in a matrix environment.
    3. Exposure to working with international HQ.
