Job Description:

Title: Accounting Consultant (COGS and Cost Accounting Emphasis)

Company: $100mm Manufacture

Location: Fully Remote (Client in Ohio)

Start Date: 3/9/2026

Pay: $50-$70 per hour (W2 or C2C)

Duration: 3+Months

Hours: 20-30 hours a week initially

Scope of Engagement:

Immediate Priority (Weeks 1–2)

The first two weeks are turnaround-focused, so availability during this period is important.

Plan for ~20 hours per week initially, and potentially more depending on workload.

Week 1 deliverables (target Thursday, March 12):

COGS build / unit economics model
Bottoms-up cost structure validation
Supporting invoice and pricing analysis
Organized tick-marked working papers
Files prepared for data room upload for investors

Work will include validating unit pricing vs. invoice support and projected sales volumes.

Phase 1 Work (Weeks 1–4)

Support financial stabilization work, including:

Building COGS and margin models
Inventory analysis and validation
Supporting working capital and cash flow analysis
Vendor payment and purchasing analysis
Organizing documentation for investor diligence

Phase 2 Work (Weeks 4–8)

Operational analytics and cost discipline:

Operating expense analysis
Marketing/CAC and retention analysis
Vendor and procurement analysis
Transaction testing related to large purchasing activity

Phase 3 Work (Weeks 8–12)

Finance infrastructure and reporting:

KPI and margin analytics

Requirements:

5+years exp
Strong Cost Accounting and COGS experience
Advanced Excel
Quickbooks (a Plus)
