Position Overview

A nationally recognized public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Financial Services Assurance practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced public accountant looking to work with sophisticated investment management and financial services clients while taking on increased responsibility in audit execution, client communication, and staff development.

Primary Responsibilities

Participate in audit and assurance engagements for clients within the financial services and investment management sectors.
Assist in the preparation and review of annual financial statements, audit deliverables, and supporting documentation.
Act as a key contact between clients, internal leadership, and engagement teams throughout the audit lifecycle.
Perform risk-based audit procedures and support clients during reporting and compliance processes.
Ensure engagements are completed timely and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and mentorship to associates and junior team members.
Contribute ideas to improve workflow efficiency, client experience, and overall engagement quality.

Qualifications

2–4 years of external audit experience within public accounting.
CPA designation or active progress toward licensure.
Prior experience working with asset management, investment company, or alternative investment clients preferred.
Strong understanding of audit methodology, financial reporting, and internal controls.
